⁸Let his days be ^(A)few,
And ^(B)let another take his office.

⁸May his days be few;^(A)
may another take his place^(B) of leadership.

⁷And they consulted together and bought with them the potter’s field, to bury strangers in.

⁷So they decided to use the money to buy the potter’s field as a burial place for foreigners.

⁸Therefore that field has been called ^(A)the Field of Blood to this day.

⁸That is why it has been called the Field of Blood^(A) to this day.
