⁴ The Lord has sworn and will not change his mind,
    “You are a priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.”^[a](A)

⁷ Great will be his authority,^[a]
    and there shall be endless peace
for the throne of David and his kingdom.
    He will establish and uphold it
with justice and with righteousness
    from this time onward and forevermore.
The zeal of the Lord of hosts will do this.^(A)

¹⁴ To him was given dominion
    and glory and kingship,
that all peoples, nations, and languages
    should serve him.
His dominion is an everlasting dominion
    that shall not pass away,
and his kingship is one
    that shall never be destroyed.^(A)
