⁶The Lord preserves ^(A)the simple;
when ^(B)I was brought low, he saved me.

⁶The Lord preserveth the simple: I was brought low, and he helped me.

⁶^(A)Attend to my cry,
for ^(B)I am brought very low!
Deliver me from my persecutors,
^(C)for they are too strong for me!
