You did not desire sacrifice and offering,
but you prepared a body for me.
6 You did not delight
in whole burnt offerings and sin offerings.
7 Then I said, “See—
it is written about me
in the scroll—
I have come to do your will, God.”[a](A)
8 After he says above, You did not desire or delight in sacrifices and offerings, whole burnt offerings and sin offerings (which are offered according to the law(B)), 9 he then says, See, I have come to do your will.[b] He takes away the first to establish the second.

“Sacrifice and offering you did not desire,
but a body you prepared for me;(B)
6 with burnt offerings and sin offerings
you were not pleased.
7 Then I said, ‘Here I am—it is written about me in the scroll(C)—
I have come to do your will, my God.’”[a](D)
8 First he said, “Sacrifices and offerings, burnt offerings and sin offerings you did not desire, nor were you pleased with them”(E)—though they were offered in accordance with the law. 9 Then he said, “Here I am, I have come to do your will.”(F) He sets aside the first to establish the second.

8 Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law;
9 Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.
