18 so that through two unchangeable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled for refuge might have strong encouragement to seize the hope set before us.(A) 19 We have this hope as an anchor for our lives, safe and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain.(B) 20 Jesus has entered there on our behalf as a forerunner,(C) because He has become a high priest forever in the order of Melchizedek.(D)

18 God did this so that, by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie,(A) we who have fled to take hold of the hope(B) set before us may be greatly encouraged. 19 We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. 19 Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;
20 Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.
