3 He will not (A)allow your foot to slip;
He who (B)watches over you will not slumber.
4 Behold, He who watches over Israel
Will neither slumber nor sleep.
5 The Lord is your [a](C)protector;
The Lord is your (D)shade on your right hand.
6 The (E)sun will not [b]beat down on you by day,
Nor the moon by night.
7 The Lord will [c](F)protect you from all evil;
He will keep your soul.
8 The Lord will [d](G)guard your going out and your coming in

7 The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.
8 The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.
