Psalm 138:6-8
Christian Standard Bible
6 Though the Lord is exalted,
he takes note of the humble;
but he knows the haughty from a distance.(A)
7 If I walk into the thick of danger,
you will preserve my life
from the anger of my enemies.(B)
You will extend your hand;
your right hand will save me.(C)
8 The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me.(D)
Lord, your faithful love endures forever;
do not abandon the work of your hands.(E)

though lofty, he sees them(B) from afar.
7 Though I walk(C) in the midst of trouble,
you preserve my life.(D)
You stretch out your hand(E) against the anger of my foes;(F)
with your right hand(G) you save me.(H)
8 The Lord will vindicate(I) me;
your love, Lord, endures forever(J)—
