¹¹If I say, “Surely the darkness shall ^[a]fall on me,”
Even the night shall be light about me;

¹¹If I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me
and the light become night around me,”

¹²Indeed, ^(A)the darkness ^[a]shall not hide from You,
But the night shines as the day;
The darkness and the light are both alike to You.

¹²even the darkness will not be dark^(A) to you;
the night will shine like the day,
for darkness is as light to you.
