⁴ Do all the workers of wickedness ^(A)not know,
Who ^(B)eat up my people as they eat bread,
And ^(C)do not call upon the Lord?

¹⁴ There is a ^[a]kind of man whose ^(A)teeth are like swords
And his ^(B)jaw teeth like knives,
To ^(C)devour the afflicted from the earth
And the needy from among men.

⁷ “These who ^[a]pant after the very dust of the earth on the head of the ^(A)helpless
Also ^(B)turn aside the way of the humble;
And a ^(C)man and his father ^[b]resort to the same ^[c]girl
In order to profane My holy name.

¹¹ Therefore because you ^[a]impose heavy rent on the poor
And exact a tribute of grain from them,
Though you have built ^(A)houses of well-hewn stone,
Yet you will not live in them;
You have planted pleasant vineyards, yet you will ^(B)not drink their wine.
¹² For I know your transgressions are many and your sins are great,
You who ^(C)distress the righteous and accept bribes
And ^[b]turn aside the poor in the ^[c]gate.
