Set a (A)guard, Lord, [a]over my mouth;
Keep watch over the (B)door of my lips.
(C)Do not incline my heart to any evil thing,
To practice deeds [b]of wickedness

And (E)may I not taste their delicacies.

May the (F)righteous strike me with mercy and discipline me;
It is (G)oil for the head;
My head shall not refuse it,
