Psalm 146:7-9

American Standard Version

⁷Who executeth justice for the oppressed;
Who giveth food to the hungry.
Jehovah looseth the prisoners;
⁸Jehovah openeth the eyes of the blind;
Jehovah raiseth up them that are bowed down;
Jehovah loveth the righteous;
⁹Jehovah preserveth the sojourners;
He upholdeth the fatherless and widow;
But the way of the wicked he ^[a]turneth upside down.

The Lord sets prisoners free,^(D)
⁸    the Lord gives sight^(E) to the blind,^(F)
the Lord lifts up those who are bowed down,^(G)
    the Lord loves the righteous.^(H)
⁹The Lord watches over the foreigner^(I)
    and sustains the fatherless^(J) and the widow,^(K)
    but he frustrates the ways of the wicked.
