⁴⁶ and said to them, “Thus ^(A)it is written, ^(B)that the Christ should suffer and on the third day ^(C)rise from the dead,

²⁵ For David says concerning him,

²⁹ “Brothers, I may say to you with confidence about ^(G)the patriarch David ^(H)that he both died and ^(I)was buried, and ^(J)his tomb is with us to this day. ^30 (K)Being therefore a prophet, and knowing that ^(L)God had sworn with an oath to him that he would set one of his descendants on his throne, ³¹ he foresaw and spoke about the resurrection of the Christ, that ^(M)he was not abandoned to Hades, nor did his flesh see corruption.

³⁴ And as for the fact that he raised him from the dead, ^(A)(B)no more to return to corruption, he has spoken in this way,

³⁵ Therefore he says also in another psalm,

^3 (A)explaining and proving that it was necessary for ^(B)the Christ to suffer and ^(C)to rise from the dead, and saying, “This Jesus, whom I proclaim to you, is the Christ.”
