⁴⁰You have also made my enemies ^(A)turn their backs to me,
And I ^[a]^(B)destroyed those who hated me.

⁴⁰You made my enemies turn their backs^(A) in flight,
and I destroyed^(B) my foes.

¹²For You will ^(A)make them turn their back;
You will take aim at their faces ^(B)with Your bowstrings.

¹²You will make them turn their backs^(A)
when you aim at them with drawn bow.
