Jesus Handed Over to Pontius Pilate^(A)

27 When morning came, ^(B)all the chief priests and elders of the people plotted against Jesus to put Him to death.

^6 (A)Then the Pharisees went out and immediately plotted with ^(B)the Herodians against Him, how they might destroy Him.

¹¹ But they were filled with rage, and discussed with one another what they might do to Jesus.

¹⁸ Therefore the Jews ^(A)sought all the more to kill Him, because He not only broke the Sabbath, but also said that God was His Father, ^(B)making Himself equal with God.

^39 (A)Therefore they sought again to seize Him, but He escaped out of their hand.

⁵³ Then, from that day on, they plotted to ^(A)put Him to death.
