²The ^(A)kings of the earth take their stand
And the rulers conspire together
^(B)Against the Lord and against His ^[a]^(C)Anointed, saying,

New International Version

²The kings^(A) of the earth rise up
and the rulers band together
against the Lord and against his anointed,^(B) saying,

¹⁷I will make the ^(A)horn of David spring forth there;
I have prepared a ^(B)lamp for My anointed.

¹⁷“Here I will make a horn^[a] grow^(A) for David
and set up a lamp^(B) for my anointed one.^(C)
