Psalm 29:9-11
Contemporary English Version

9 The voice of the Lord
makes deer give birth
    before their time.[a]
Forests are stripped of leaves,
and the temple is filled
    with shouts of praise.

10 The Lord rules on his throne,
    king of the flood[b] forever.
11 Pray that our Lord
will make us strong
    and give us peace.

9 The voice of the Lord twists the oaks[a](A)
    and strips the forests bare.
And in his temple all cry, “Glory!”(B)

10 The Lord sits enthroned over the flood;(C)
    the Lord is enthroned as King forever.(D)
11 The Lord gives strength to his people;(E)
    the Lord blesses his people with peace.(F)
