Psalm 31:16-18

16 Make your face shine on your servant;(A)
save me by your faithful love.(B)
17 Lord, do not let me be disgraced when I call on you.(C)
Let the wicked be disgraced;
let them be quiet[a][b] in Sheol.(D)
18 Let lying lips(E)
that arrogantly speak against the righteous
in proud contempt be silenced.(F)

17 Let me not be put to shame,(C) Lord,
for I have cried out to you;
but let the wicked be put to shame
and be silent(D) in the realm of the dead.
18 Let their lying lips(E) be silenced,
for with pride and contempt
they speak arrogantly(F) against the righteous.
