Psalm 31:9-10
New American Standard Bible
9 Be gracious to me, Lord, for (A)I am in distress;
My (B)eye is wasted away from grief, (C)my soul and my body too.
10 For my life is spent with (D)sorrow
And my years with sighing;
My (E)strength has failed because of my guilt,
And (F)my [a]body has wasted away.

Psalm 38:2-8
New American Standard Bible
2 For Your (A)arrows have sunk deep into me,
And (B)Your hand has pressed down on me.
3 There is (C)no healthy part in my flesh (D)because of Your indignation;
There is no health (E)in my bones because of my sin.
4 For my (F)guilty deeds have gone over my head;
Like a heavy burden they weigh too much for me.
5 My [a]wounds grow foul and fester
Because of (G)my foolishness.
6 I am bent over and (H)greatly bowed down;
I (I)go in mourning all day long.
7 For my [b]sides are filled with (J)burning,
And there is (K)no healthy part in my flesh.
8 I feel (L)faint and [c]badly crushed;
I [d](M)groan because of the [e]agitation of my heart.

3 For my days (A)have ended in smoke,
And my (B)bones have been scorched like a hearth.
4 My heart (C)has been struck like [a]grass and has (D)withered,
Indeed, I (E)forget to eat my bread.

My (F)bones [c]cling to my flesh.
