To the bereavement of my soul.

Psalm 35:12

New International Version

¹²They repay me evil for good^(A)
and leave me like one bereaved.

¹²They rewarded me evil for good to the spoiling of my soul.

²⁰And those who ^(A)repay evil for good,
They ^(B)become my enemies, because I follow what is good.

²⁰Those who repay my good with evil^(A)
lodge accusations^(B) against me,
though I seek only to do what is good.

²⁰They also that render evil for good are mine adversaries; because I follow the thing that good is.
