Without cause they set their snare for me;
    without cause they dug a pit for me.
Let ruin overtake them unawares;
    let the snare they have set catch them;
    let them fall into the pit they have dug.(A)
Then I will rejoice in the Lord,
    exult in God’s salvation.

Since they hid their net(A) for me without cause(B)
    and without cause dug a pit(C) for me,
may ruin overtake them by surprise—(D)
    may the net they hid entangle them,
    may they fall into the pit,(E) to their ruin.
Then my soul will rejoice(F) in the Lord
    and delight in his salvation.(G)

For without cause have they hid for me their net in a pit, which without cause they have digged for my soul.

Let destruction come upon him at unawares; and let his net that he hath hid catch himself: into that very destruction let him fall.

And my soul shall be joyful in the Lord: it shall rejoice in his salvation.
