Psalm 36:2-4

2 for in his own eyes he flatters himself too much
to discover and hate his sin.(A)
3 The words of his mouth are malicious and deceptive;(B)
he has stopped acting wisely and doing good.(C)
4 Even on his bed he makes malicious plans.(D)
He sets himself on a path that is not good
and does not reject evil.(E)

2 In their own eyes they flatter themselves
too much to detect or hate their sin.(A)
3 The words of their mouths(B) are wicked and deceitful;(C)
they fail to act wisely(D) or do good.(E)
4 Even on their beds they plot evil;(F)
they commit themselves to a sinful course(G)
and do not reject what is wrong.(H)
