²For they will soon ^(A)fade like ^(B)the grass
and wither ^(C)like the green herb.

²for like the grass they will soon wither,^(A)
like green plants they will soon die away.^(B)

²For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.

⁶Let them be like ^(A)the grass on the housetops,
which ^(B)withers before it grows up,

⁶May they be like grass on the roof,^(A)
which withers^(B) before it can grow;

⁶Let them be as the grass upon the housetops, which withereth afore it groweth up:
