I ^[b]refused to say even something good,
And my pain was stirred up.

²So I remained utterly silent,^(A)
not even saying anything good.
But my anguish^(B) increased;

⁹I have become ^(A)mute, I do not open my mouth,
Because it is ^(B)You who have done it.

⁹I was silent;^(A) I would not open my mouth,^(B)
for you are the one who has done this.^(C)
