Psalm 40:13-17
New American Standard Bible

13 (A)Be pleased, Lord, to rescue me;
(B)Hurry, Lord, to help me.
14 May those be (C)ashamed and humiliated together
Who (D)seek my [a]life to destroy it;
May those be turned back and dishonored
Who delight [b]in my hurt.
15 May those (E)be [c]appalled because of their shame
Who (F)say to me, “Aha, aha!”
16 (G)May all who seek You rejoice and be glad in You;
May those who love Your salvation continually (H)say,
“The Lord be exalted!”
17 But (I)I am afflicted and needy;
(J)May the Lord be mindful of me.
You are my help and my savior;
Do not delay, my God.

13 Be pleased, O Lord, to deliver me: O Lord, make haste to help me.

14 Let them be ashamed and confounded together that seek after my soul to destroy it; let them be driven backward and put to shame that wish me evil.

15 Let them be desolate for a reward of their shame that say unto me, Aha, aha.

16 Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: let such as love thy salvation say continually, The Lord be magnified.

17 But I am poor and needy; yet the Lord thinketh upon me: thou art my help and my deliverer; make no tarrying, O my God.
