Psalm 40:14-16

14 Let them be [a]confounded and put to shame together, that seek my soul to destroy it: let them be driven backward and put to rebuke that desire mine hurt.
15 Let them be [b]destroyed for a reward of their shame, which say unto me, Aha, aha.
16 Let all them that seek thee, rejoice and be glad in thee, and let them that love thy salvation, say always, [c]The Lord be praised.

14 May all who want to take my life(A)

be turned back in disgrace.
15 May those who say to me, “Aha! Aha!”(D)
be appalled at their own shame.
16 But may all who seek you(E)
rejoice and be glad(F) in you;
may those who long for your saving help always say,
