Then You ^(B)planted them;
You ^(C)afflicted the peoples,
Then You ^(D)let them go free.
³ For by their own sword they ^(E)did not possess the land,
And their own arm did not save them,
But Your right hand and Your ^(F)arm and the ^(G)light of Your presence,
For You ^(H)favored them.

⁷ I brought you into the ^(A)fruitful land
To eat its fruit and its good things.
But you came and ^(B)defiled My land,
And you made My inheritance an abomination.
