Psalm 44:2-3
New American Standard Bible
2 You with Your own hand (A)drove out the nations;
Then You (B)planted them;
You (C)afflicted the peoples,
Then You (D)let them go free.
3 For by their own sword they (E)did not possess the land,
And their own arm did not save them,
But Your right hand and Your (F)arm and the (G)light of Your presence,
For You (H)favored them.
Psalm 44:2-3
New International Version
2 With your hand you drove out(A) the nations
and planted(B) our ancestors;
you crushed(C) the peoples
and made our ancestors flourish.(D)
3 It was not by their sword(E) that they won the land,
nor did their arm bring them victory;
it was your right hand,(F) your arm,(G)
and the light(H) of your face, for you loved(I) them.
Psalm 78:54-55
New American Standard Bible
54 So (A)He brought them to His holy [a]land,
To this [b](B)hill country (C)which His right hand had gained.
55 He also (D)drove out the nations from them
And (E)apportioned them as an inheritance by measurement,
And had the tribes of Israel dwell in their tents.
