¹⁹ They will ^(A)fling their silver into the streets and their gold will become an abhorrent thing; their ^(B)silver and their gold will not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of the Lord. They cannot satisfy their ^[a]appetite nor can they fill their stomachs, for their iniquity has become an occasion of stumbling.

¹⁹ And I will say to my soul, “Soul, ^(A)you have many goods laid up for many years to come; take your ease, eat, drink and be merry.”’ ²⁰ But God said to him, ‘^(B)You fool! This very night ^[a](C)your soul is required of you; and ^(D)now who will own what you have prepared?’
