“What right do you have to tell of My statutes
And to take ^(A)My covenant in your mouth?

¹⁶But to the wicked person, God says:

“What right have you to recite my laws
or take my covenant^(A) on your lips?^(B)

²No, in heart you ^(A)practice injustice;
On earth you ^(B)clear a way for the violence of your hands.

²No, in your heart you devise injustice,^(A)
and your hands mete out violence on the earth.^(B)
