17 The sacrifices of God are a (A)broken spirit;
A broken and a contrite heart, God, You will not despise.

18 (B)By Your favor do good to Zion;
[a](C)Build the walls of Jerusalem.
19 Then You will delight in [b](D)righteous sacrifices,
In (E)burnt offering and whole burnt offering;
Then [c]bulls will be offered on Your altar.

17 My sacrifice,(A) O God, is[a] a broken spirit;
    a broken and contrite heart(B)
    you, God, will not despise.

18 May it please you to prosper Zion,(C)
    to build up the walls of Jerusalem.(D)
19 Then you will delight in the sacrifices of the righteous,(E)
    in burnt offerings(F) offered whole;
    then bulls(G) will be offered on your altar.
