Psalm 56:9

English Standard Version

⁹Then my enemies will turn back
^(A)in the day when I call.
This I know, that^[a] ^(B)God is for me.

New International Version

⁹Then my enemies will turn back^(A)
when I call for help.^(B)
By this I will know that God is for me.^(C)

⁶So we can confidently say,

^(A)“The Lord is my helper;
^(B)I will not fear;
what can man do to me?”

⁶So we say with confidence,

“The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid.
What can mere mortals do to me?”^[a]^(A)
