4 for no fault of mine, they run and make ready.
Rouse yourself, come to my help and see!(A)
5 You, Lord God of hosts, are God of Israel.
Awake to punish all the nations;
spare none of those who treacherously plot evil. Selah(B)
6 Each evening they come back
howling like dogs
and prowling about the city.(C)

Arise to help me; look on my plight!(C)
5 You, Lord God Almighty,
you who are the God of Israel,(D)
rouse yourself(E) to punish all the nations;(F)
show no mercy to wicked traitors.[a](G)
6 They return at evening,
snarling like dogs,(H)
and prowl about the city.
