5 Give victory with your right hand and answer us,[a]
so that those whom you love may be rescued.(A)
6 God has promised in his sanctuary,[b]
“With exultation I will divide up Shechem
and portion out the Vale of Succoth.(B)
7 Gilead is mine, and Manasseh is mine;
Ephraim is my helmet;
Judah is my scepter.(C)
8 Moab is my washbasin;
on Edom I hurl my shoe;
over Philistia I shout in triumph.”(D)
9 Who will bring me to the fortified city?
Who will lead me to Edom?
10 Have you not rejected us, O God?
You do not go out, O God, with our armies.(E)
11 O grant us help against the foe,
for human help is worthless.(F)
12 With God we shall do valiantly;
it is he who will tread down our foes.(G)

and measure off the Valley of Sukkoth.(D)
7 Gilead(E) is mine, and Manasseh is mine;
Ephraim(F) is my helmet,
Judah(G) is my scepter.(H)
8 Moab is my washbasin,
on Edom I toss my sandal;
over Philistia I shout in triumph.(I)”
9 Who will bring me to the fortified city?
Who will lead me to Edom?
10 Is it not you, God, you who have now rejected us
and no longer go out with our armies?(J)
11 Give us aid against the enemy,
for human help is worthless.(K)
12 With God we will gain the victory,
and he will trample down our enemies.(L)
