¹¹ God is a shield above me
    saving the upright of heart.^(A)

My God, my rock of refuge,
    my shield, my saving horn,^[a] my stronghold!^(A)

⁷ God alone is my rock and my salvation,
    my fortress; I shall not fall.
⁸ My deliverance and honor are with God,^(A)
    my strong rock;
    my refuge is with God.

²⁹ Happy are you, Israel! Who is like you,
    a people delivered by the Lord,
Your help and shield,
    and the sword of your glory.
Your enemies cringe before you;
    you stride upon their backs.^(A)

    be your light by day,
Nor shall the brightness of the moon
    give you light by night;
Rather, the Lord will be your light forever,
