Psalm 74:4-8
English Standard Version
4 Your foes have (A)roared in the midst of your meeting place;
(B)they set up their (C)own signs for (D)signs.
5 They were like those who swing (E)axes
in a forest of trees.[a]
6 And all its (F)carved wood
they broke down with hatchets and hammers.
7 They (G)set your sanctuary on fire;
they (H)profaned (I)the dwelling place of your name,
bringing it down to the ground.
8 They (J)said to themselves, “We will utterly subdue them”;
they burned all the meeting places of God in the land.
