53 He led them safely, and they were not afraid;
but the sea covered their enemies.(A)
54 He brought them to His holy land,
to the mountain His right hand acquired.(B)
55 He drove out nations before them.(C)
He apportioned their inheritance by lot
and settled the tribes of Israel in their tents.(D)

53 He guided them safely, so they were unafraid;
but the sea engulfed(A) their enemies.(B)
54 And so he brought them to the border of his holy land,
to the hill country his right hand(C) had taken.
55 He drove out nations(D) before them
and allotted their lands to them as an inheritance;(E)
he settled the tribes of Israel in their homes.
