⁴ “They will ^(A)die of deadly diseases, they ^(B)will not be mourned or buried; they will be like ^(C)dung on the surface of the ground. And they will perish by sword and famine, and their dead bodies will become food for the ^(D)birds of the sky and for the animals of the earth.”

⁴ You will ^(A)fall on the mountains of Israel, you and all your troops, and the peoples who are with you; I will give you as ^(B)food to every ^[a]kind of predatory bird and animal of the field.

¹⁷ “Now as for you, son of man, this is what the Lord God says: ‘Say to every ^[a]kind of ^(A)bird and to every ^(B)animal of the field: “Assemble and come, gather from every direction to My sacrifice, which I am going to ^(C)sacrifice for you as a great sacrifice on the mountains of Israel; and you will eat flesh and drink blood.
