⁸Do not hold past sins^[a] against us;
let Your compassion come to us quickly,
for we have become weak.^(A)

⁸Do not hold against us the sins of past generations;^(A)
may your mercy come quickly to meet us,

⁶The Lord guards the inexperienced;
