Psalm 8:2-4
The Message
2 Nursing infants gurgle choruses about you;
toddlers shout the songs
That drown out enemy talk,
and silence atheist babble.
3-4 I look up at your macro-skies, dark and enormous,
your handmade sky-jewelry,
Moon and stars mounted in their settings.
Then I look at my micro-self and wonder,
Why do you bother with us?
Why take a second look our way?
Psalm 8:2-4
New International Version
2 Through the praise of children and infants
you have established a stronghold(A) against your enemies,
to silence the foe(B) and the avenger.
3 When I consider your heavens,(C)
the work of your fingers,(D)
the moon and the stars,(E)
which you have set in place,
4 what is mankind that you are mindful of them,
human beings that you care for them?[a](F)
