³They have taken crafty counsel against Your people,
And consulted together ^(A)against Your sheltered ones.

³With cunning they conspire^(A) against your people;
they plot against those you cherish.^(B)

⁴They have said, “Come, and ^(A)let us cut them off from being a nation,
That the name of Israel may be remembered no more.”

⁴“Come,” they say, “let us destroy^(A) them as a nation,^(B)
so that Israel’s name is remembered^(C) no more.”
