8 O Lord God of hosts, hear my prayer, hearken, O God of Jacob. Selah.
9 Behold, O God, our shield, and look upon the face of thine [a]Anointed.
10 For [b]a day in thy courts is better than a thousand other where: I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tabernacles of wickedness.

8 Hear my prayer,(A) Lord God Almighty;
listen to me, God of Jacob.

look with favor on your anointed one.(C)
10 Better is one day in your courts
than a thousand elsewhere;
I would rather be a doorkeeper(D) in the house of my God
than dwell in the tents of the wicked.
