⁶ Come, let us ^(A)worship and bow down,
Let us ^(B)kneel before the Lord our ^(C)Maker.
⁷ For He is our God,
And ^(D)we are the people of His ^[a](E)pasture and the sheep of His hand.
^(F)Today, ^[b]if you would hear His voice,
⁸ Do not harden your hearts, as at ^[c](G)Meribah,
As in the day of ^[d](H)Massah in the wilderness,

⁸ The Lord is ^(A)compassionate and gracious,
^(B)Slow to anger and abounding in lovingkindness.
⁹ He ^(C)will not always strive with us,
Nor will He ^(D)keep His anger forever.
¹⁰ He has ^(E)not dealt with us according to our sins,
Nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.
¹¹ For as high ^(F)as the heavens are above the earth,
So great is His lovingkindness toward those who ^[a]fear Him.
¹² As far as the east is from the west,
So far has He ^(G)removed our transgressions from us.
¹³ Just ^(H)as a father has compassion on his children,
So the Lord has compassion on those who ^[b]fear Him.
¹⁴ For ^(I)He Himself knows ^[c]our frame;
He ^(J)is mindful that we are but ^(K)dust.

¹⁵ As for man, his days are ^(L)like grass;
As a ^(M)flower of the field, so he flourishes.
¹⁶ When the ^(N)wind has passed over it, it is no more,
And its ^(O)place acknowledges it no longer.
¹⁷ But the ^(P)lovingkindness of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting on those who ^[d]fear Him,
And His ^[e]righteousness ^(Q)to children’s children,
