⁵ For ^(A)all the gods of the peoples are ^[a]idols,
But ^(B)the Lord made the heavens.

^5 (A)Blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob,
Whose ^(B)hope is in the Lord his God,
⁶ Who ^(C)made heaven and earth,
The ^(D)sea and everything that is in them;
Who ^(E)keeps ^[a]faith forever;

Who ^(A)created the heavens and ^(B)stretched them out,
Who spread out the ^(C)earth and its ^[a]offspring,
Who ^(D)gives breath to the people on it
And spirit to those who walk in it:

¹² It is I who ^(A)made the earth, and created mankind upon it.
I ^(B)stretched out the heavens with My hands,
And I ^[a]ordained ^(C)all their ^[b]lights.

¹² It is ^(A)He who made the earth by His power,
Who ^(B)established the world by His wisdom;
And by His understanding He has ^(C)stretched out the heavens.
