Psalm 101 Names of God Bible (NOG)

Psalm 101

A psalm by David.

I will sing about mercy and justice.
    O Yahweh, I will make music to praise you.
I want to understand the path to integrity.
    When will you come to me?

I will live in my own home with integrity.
I will not put anything wicked in front of my eyes.
    I hate what unfaithful people do.
    I want no part of it.
I will keep far away from devious minds.
    I will have nothing to do with evil.
I will destroy anyone who secretly slanders his neighbor.
    I will not tolerate anyone with a conceited look or arrogant heart.
My eyes will be watching the faithful people in the land
    so that they may live with me.
        The person who lives with integrity will serve me.

The one who does deceitful things will not stay in my home.
    The one who tells lies will not remain in my presence.

Every morning I will destroy all the wicked people in the land
    to rid Yahweh’s city of all troublemakers.

Psalm 101 New International Version (NIV)

Psalm 101

Of David. A psalm.

I will sing of your love and justice;
    to you, Lord, I will sing praise.
I will be careful to lead a blameless life
    when will you come to me?

I will conduct the affairs of my house
    with a blameless heart.
I will not look with approval
    on anything that is vile.

I hate what faithless people do;
    I will have no part in it.
The perverse of heart shall be far from me;
    I will have nothing to do with what is evil.

Whoever slanders their neighbor in secret,
    I will put to silence;
whoever has haughty eyes and a proud heart,
    I will not tolerate.

My eyes will be on the faithful in the land,
    that they may dwell with me;
the one whose walk is blameless
    will minister to me.

No one who practices deceit
    will dwell in my house;
no one who speaks falsely
    will stand in my presence.

Every morning I will put to silence
    all the wicked in the land;
I will cut off every evildoer
    from the city of the Lord.
