²³ Therefore ^(A)He said that He would destroy them,
If ^(B)Moses, His chosen one, had not stood in the gap before Him,
To turn away His wrath from destroying them.

²² But if they had ^(A)stood in My council,
Then they would have ^(B)announced My words to My people,
And would have turned them back from their evil way
And from the evil of their deeds.
