²⁵ He spoke and raised a tempest
that stirred up the waves of the sea.^[a](A)
26 Rising up to the sky, sinking down to the depths,
their courage^[b] melting away in anguish,^(B)
27 they reeled and staggered like drunken men,
and all their skill was useless.^(C)
28 Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble,
and He brought them out of their distress.^(D)
