⁷ For the Lord is righteous;
he ^(A)loves righteous deeds;
    ^(B)the upright shall behold his face.

^8 (A)For I the Lord love justice;
    I hate robbery and wrong;^[a]
(B)I will faithfully give them their recompense,
    ^(C)and I will make an everlasting covenant with them.

⁵ “Behold, God is mighty, and ^(A)does not despise any;
    he is ^(B)mighty in strength of understanding.
⁶ He does not keep the wicked alive,
    but gives ^(C)the afflicted their right.
⁷ He does not withdraw his ^(D)eyes from the righteous,
    but with ^(E)kings on the throne
    he sets them for ever, and they are ^(F)exalted.
