²⁸ For the Lord ^(A)loves justice;
    he will not forsake his ^(B)saints.
They are preserved for ever,
    but the children of the wicked shall be ^(C)cut off.

¹³ May his ^(A)posterity be cut off;
    may his ^(B)name be blotted out in the second generation!

¹⁶ His ^(A)roots dry up beneath,
    and his branches ^(B)wither above.
¹⁷ His ^(C)memory perishes from the earth,
    and he has no name in the street.

¹⁹ He has no ^(A)posterity or progeny among his people,
    and no survivor where he used to live.

²⁰ You will not be joined with them in burial,
    because you have destroyed your land,
    you have slain your people.
“May ^(A)the offspring of evildoers
    nevermore be named!
