Psalm 39:5-13

5 Behold, You have made (A)my days like [a]hand widths,
And my (B)lifetime as nothing in Your sight;
Certainly all mankind standing is [b]a mere (C)breath. Selah
6 Certainly every person (D)walks around as [c]a fleeting shadow;
They certainly make an (E)uproar for nothing;
He (F)amasses riches and does not know who will gather them.
7 “And now, Lord, for what do I wait?
My (G)hope is in You.
8 (H)Save me from all my wrongdoings;
Do not make me an object of (I)reproach for the foolish.
9 I have become (J)mute, I do not open my mouth,
Because it is (K)You who have done it.
10 (L)Remove Your plague from me;
Because of (M)the opposition of Your hand I am [d]perishing.
11 With (N)rebukes You punish a person for wrongdoing;
You (O)consume like a moth what is precious to him;
Certainly (P)all mankind is mere breath! Selah
12 “(Q)Hear my prayer, Lord, and listen to my cry for help;
Do not be silent (R)to my tears;
For I am (S)a stranger with You,
(T)One who lives abroad, like all my fathers.
13 (U)Turn Your eyes away from me, that I may become cheerful again
Before I depart and am no more.”
