² A third you shall burn in the fire at the center of the city, when the ^(A)days of the siege are completed. Then you shall take a third and strike it with the sword all around ^[a]the city, and a third you shall scatter to the wind; for I will ^(B)unsheathe a sword behind them.

¹² A third of you will die by ^(A)plague or perish by famine among you, a third will fall by the sword around you, and a third I will ^(B)scatter to every wind, and I will ^(C)unsheathe a sword behind them.

⁸ “However, I will leave a ^(A)remnant, in that you will have those who ^(B)escaped the sword among the nations when you are scattered among the countries.

¹⁴ And I will ^(A)scatter to every wind all who are around him, his helpers and all his troops; and I will draw out a sword after them.

⁶ “^[a]You there! ^(A)Flee from the land of the north,” declares the Lord, “because I have ^(B)spread you out like the four winds of the heavens,” declares the Lord.

¹⁴ “but I ^[a](A)scattered them with a ^(B)storm wind among all the nations whom they did not know. So the land was ^(C)desolated behind them ^[b]so that ^(D)no one went back and forth, since they ^(E)made the pleasant land desolate.”
